Awesome news to share! Friends of Sherman Creek Conservancy's Green Roof Tool Shed  proposalis the recipient of the 2016 Neighborhood Grant by Citizens Committee of New York! This grant award will allow us to build a much needed Lean-To Tool Shed to house our volunteer clenuup tools, wheelbarrow and shovels, as well as our Billion Oyster Project restoration water quality equipment and boat. The tool shed will be built this Summer by local volunteers and will feature a green roof and a sustainable rain barrel. This Lean To Tool Shed will be housed at either the Sherman Creek old gas station site or at the fenced area behind PS5 at Sherman Creek. Please help us spread the word. Our tools are always available to any local volunteer group as well.
